Engaging with patients and our communities is at the heart of everything we do at the Northumberland CCG. We want to ensure that people are central to all of our decision making, and are given the opportunity to provide feedback on our services which can then be acted upon to improve patient care.
We believe that working with partners and listening to people should be critical in shaping commissioning decisions – That’s why we spend a lot of time speaking to service users, meeting with third sector organisations, liaising with organisational partners, and ensuring that key messages are effectively communicated across the Northumberland.
We also work closely with NHS England and Public Health to deliver topical health-related messaging. As we cater to all age groups and demographics we make sure that our messaging encompasses a variety of different mediums – we help to organise: public forums, consultations, face-to-face meetings, messages in online and printed press, and social media content.
